If you require any assistance during the application process, do not hesitate to reach out directly at <a href=\"mailto:msem@ise.ufl.edu\">msem@ise.ufl.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-create-block-accordion-block\"><section class=\"accordion-section mb-5\"><div class=\"container-fluid\"><div class=\"row-fluid\"><div class=\"accordion openFirst\" id=\"parentbc1d6dec-ec20-47f7-b36a-2493b5a8cafa\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-create-block-accordion-block-inner\"><div class=\"accordion-item\"><span class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingfabee73f-99f6-4e01-a2e3-31f773bb13f6\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsefabee73f-99f6-4e01-a2e3-31f773bb13f6\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fabee73f-99f6-4e01-a2e3-31f773bb13f6\">Admission Prerequisite Requirements<\/button><\/span><div id=\"collapsefabee73f-99f6-4e01-a2e3-31f773bb13f6\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"headingfabee73f-99f6-4e01-a2e3-31f773bb13f6\"><div class=\"accordion-body\"><div class=\"accordion-body-wrap\">\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"341\">Prerequisite coursework in the following subjects\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"341\">Calculus, linear algebra\/matrix methods<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"341\">Probability and statistics<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"341\">Computer programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"341\">Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university.\u00a0 Although an engineering degree or a degree from another STEM-related field is recommended, this is not a requirement.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"344\" data-end=\"406\">A minimum GPA of 3.0 (last 60 hours of undergraduate study). Overall academic performance is reviewed, as is performance in the above prerequisite coursework.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"484\">Work experience of at least two years (or equivalent) in engineering, technology, or management is preferred.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"484\">The GRE is <strong>NOT<\/strong> required for admissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"accordion-btn-wrap\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-create-block-accordion-block-inner\"><div class=\"accordion-item\"><span class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"headingc422d9e8-ba0d-4fb3-adc9-3bf218d3499a\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapsec422d9e8-ba0d-4fb3-adc9-3bf218d3499a\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"c422d9e8-ba0d-4fb3-adc9-3bf218d3499a\">Application Instructions<\/button><\/span><div id=\"collapsec422d9e8-ba0d-4fb3-adc9-3bf218d3499a\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"headingc422d9e8-ba0d-4fb3-adc9-3bf218d3499a\"><div class=\"accordion-body\"><div class=\"accordion-body-wrap\">\n<p>These application instructions are for UF-Jacksonville&#8217;s MS Engineering Management. If you are applying to another program, please follow the appropriate instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. <\/strong><strong>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.applyweb.com\/uflgrad\/index.ftl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Online Application<\/a><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u00a0<\/span>and submit your $30 non-refundable application fee (credit card payments require an additional $7 processing fee).<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On page 3 under\u00a0<strong>\u201cLocation,\u201d<\/strong> please select <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#8220;Jacksonville.&#8221; <\/span>Select &#8220;off campus&#8221; for housing option.<\/li>\n<li>On page 4, under \u201c<strong>Program of Study,<\/strong>\u201d select <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#8220;Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.&#8221;<\/span> A new box should appear below the college title that contains the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#8220;Engineering Management Degree Name &#8211; Masters of Science.&#8221;<\/span> Click on this new box. A drop down menu will appear that says <strong>&#8220;Term.&#8221;<\/strong> Enter the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Fall<\/span> term for which you would like to enroll. Click the save button immediately to the right of the term. It will save your selected program and update the Program of Study Screen.<\/li>\n<li>Once the program has been saved, three additional drop downs will appear in a new section titled <strong>\u201cAdditional Information.\u201d<\/strong> Under Concentration enter your desired concentration, either <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#8220;Data Analytics&#8221;<\/span> or <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#8220;Smart Manufacturing.&#8221;<\/span> <strong>&#8220;Program Specialization&#8221;<\/strong> can be left blank. Please input <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">\u201cShantih Spanton\u201d<\/span> in <strong>\u201cDepartment Contact Name.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>On page 5, under \u201c<strong>Self-Reported GPA Calculation,<\/strong>\u201d please input your upper division (junior\/senior) academic record data as requested on the form.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>You will need to have access to your transcript to complete this section.<\/strong>\u00a0 The self-reported GPA calculation is a required component that is considered separately from your overall GPA.\u00a0 If you skip this section, your file will not be considered complete, and you will be required to log back in to your application later to complete it, causing a delay in the processing of your application.\u00a0 The only exceptions are for cases where the degree-granting institution did not utilize a traditional grading system (e.g., international institutions or certain US institutions).<\/li>\n<li>On page 8, upload the following supporting documents:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9.<\/strong> This can also be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:msem@ise.ufl.edu\">msem@ise.ufl.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Statement of Purpose.<\/strong> When composing your 400-500 word essay, please address the following: (1) Why you selected the University of Florida and the MSEM Program of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. (2) Which personal qualities best support your success in the MSEM Program and your subsequent career. (3) Describe a position that would be ideal for you after you complete the MSEM Program.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Photo.<\/strong> Please upload a current color passport-style photo that has a square aspect ratio with minimum dimensions of 600 x 600 pixels, and is saved in JPEG format. This can also be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:msem@ise.ufl.edu\">msem@ise.ufl.edu<\/a> (either when applying or after admission).\u00a0 If you are admitted, your photo will be included in a class picture book that is distributed to all incoming MSEM students and faculty.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transcripts.<\/strong> Official transcripts are required, but enclosing uploaded versions in this section as well is very helpful for purposes of expediting the processing of your file.\u00a0 More about official transcripts is included below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>On page 9, please input\u00a0<strong>at least two references<\/strong>, preferably work-based.\u00a0 Note that the application system provides space for 5 recommendations, but we only require 2.\u00a0 Note that you may initiate the recommendation request process before submitting your application, and this may be helpful to give your recommenders a bit more time to react to the request.\u00a0 Your recommenders will be emailed a link at which they will be asked to rank you in various areas, and where they can upload a traditional letter of recommendation.\u00a0 For various reasons, we prefer that you use the online tool to submit your recommendations, but if that cannot be done, we will accept a traditional letter of recommendation emailed to <a href=\"mailto:msem@ise.ufl.edu\">msem@ise.ufl.edu<\/a>, directly from the reference\u2019s business email account.<\/li>\n<li>On page 10, please complete\u00a0<strong>the residency affidavit<\/strong>. Note that residency DOES impact the amount of program fees that you will pay as an MSEM student. Rates differ for resident and non-resident tuition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 Submit Official Transcripts<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 You will need to send an official transcript from every college or university that you attended, regardless of whether you earned a degree there, unless that coursework and the associated grades earned already appear on the transcript from which you earned your degree.\u00a0 If you attended UF, you do not need to request a UF transcript, as we will access your UF record directly and add it to your file.<\/p>\n<p>Please request that your transcripts be sent to the UF Office of Admissions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Electronic Transcripts.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0If your school offers the option of sending electronic transcripts, please note that UF only accepts electronic transcripts managed by the services FASTER, Parchment, National Student Clearing House, ScribbleSoft, e-SCRIP-SAFE, Credential Solutions, SCOIR or Transcripts Plus. If sending electronic transcripts via one of these 8 carriers, please note that the transcripts must be emailed directly from one of these carriers to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:te@admissions.ufl.edu\">te@admissions.ufl.edu<\/a>. Electronic transcripts sent from other carriers will not be treated as official transcripts. Similarly, if electronic transcripts from one of the above carriers are emailed directly to the OEM Program office, then they will not be considered official. You must notify the MSEM admin team that you have submitted your application. Please send an email that includes your full name and a phone number at which you can be reached in case questions\/problems arise with your submission. Please let us know how many recommendations we should expect to receive, and, if you have any pending items, please explain the status of those outstanding items. Please send the email to: <a href=\"mailto:msem@ise.ufl.edu\">msem@ise.ufl.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following application items may also apply to international students:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Because MSEM is a part-time program for working professionals, it does not satisfy the full-time enrollment requirements for a student visa.\u00a0 If you are planning to continue your studies using a student visa, the MSEM Program unfortunately would not be workable.<\/li>\n<li>Official TOEFL Score Report:\u00a0 If English is not your native language and if you have not been enrolled for one year or longer at an institution in an English-speaking country, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. Residents of US territories and protectorates must submit TOEFL scores.<\/li>\n<li>An official degree statement or diploma.
