Dr. Sefair’s research interests include network optimization, multistage optimization, and integer programming. In particular, he is motivated by applications of operations research in environmental planning, public policy, and service systems. His research has been interdisciplinary, having published academic works with colleagues from a variety of fields, including civil engineering, public health, ecology, biology, and economics, in journals such as INFORMS Journal on Computing, European Journal of Operational Research, IISE Transactions, Networks, Naval Research Logistics, and Omega. Dr. Sefair’s research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, the Department of Homeland Security, among other federal and private organizations.

Honors and Awards:  NSF CAREER award in Operations Engineering (2021).

Dr. Foulk’s research interests include deviant workplace behaviors, workplace power dynamics, social perception, and interpersonal influence behaviors.  His research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Dynamics, and Pediatrics.  Dr. Foulk has contributed articles to Time Magazine, Harvard Business Review, and USA Today, and his work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, Scientific American, Fortune, The Huffington Post, New York Magazine, the Boston Globe, the LA Times, ABC News, and NBC News.

Dr. Erez’s research focuses on how positive moods and positive personality influence individuals’ thought processes, motivation, and work behaviors. Dr. Erez also investigates how negative work behaviors, such as rudeness and disrespect, affect individuals’ performance and cognition. He has published this research in scholarly journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, Human Performance, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.  Dr. Erez’s research has also been reported in numerous media outlets in the US and around the world, such as CBS News, Good Morning America (ABC), Fox News, NBC News, NPR, National TV Canada, BBC Radio, NY Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes.
