From Digital Designs to Concrete Structures

UF ISE is home to a COBOD concrete 3D printer capable of printing buildings. The printer brings together digital design, engineering, automation and materials science to create large-scale structures.

How to Find the Printer?

The ISE entrance is located on the third floor of Weil Hall, on the east side of the building. Once you are at the entrance, follow these directions:

1. Look for the exit sign with two arrows and follow the signs toward the exit. You will walk through a short hallway before reaching the exit door.
2. Go through the exit door and take the staircase down to the second floor.
3. At the second floor, take the door on the right.
4. Immediately after entering the hallway, you will see offices on your right and three glass windows on your left.
5. Look through any of the three glass windows to see the COBOD 3D printer below.
