This MS admission scholarship is to support students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance prior to joining UF ISE and have interest in conducting research with UF ISE faculty during their MS study. These scholarships are supported by the Harold D. Haldeman Jr. Endowment.

Being selected for this scholarship, students are required to identify a faculty advisor and work with the advisor to participate in engineering graduate research (EGN 6913 Engineering Graduate Research 0-3 credits) for 2 consecutive terms (including the spring, summer, and fall term).

Students will receive a $2,500 award disbursed in two phases: $1,000 at the end of the first term and $1,500 at the end of the second term, and the disbursement of the fund is based on the student’s performance and progress (students must receive S for their EGN 6913 course to be eligible). In addition, students are encouraged to present their research outcomes in public venues (i.e. research papers, conference proceedings and journal submissions, and college/department research EXPO, etc.).

The MS admission committee will select students based on qualification.
