Undergraduate Research

Undergraduate students at the University of Florida are strongly encouraged to take advantage of research opportunities with participating faculty. Undergraduate research can provide students with hands-on experience, as well as introduce them to a career path in academia and research.

Students who do choose to work with a faculty mentor must register for EGN 4912 for 0-3 credits. The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering recently approved the use of up to 3 credits of EGN 4912 to count towards track electives in the student’s curriculum.

To receive credit, the student must present a poster at the ISE Symposium in either the Fall (December) or Spring (April) semesters.

To apply and register, follow these steps.
